• Announcement of the 2026 3rd China-Africa Forum on Green Energy Science and Technology Innovation and 1st Annual Conference of the Talented Young Scientist Program (First Round)

As the global energy transition advances and China-Africa cooperation enters a new phase of high-quality development, green energy, green infrastructure, and green technology innovation have become key pillars of the China-Africa community with a shared future. Shandong Jianzhu University, building on its role as a lead participant in the inaugural “China-Africa Partner Institutes Programme”, has successfully launched and consecutively hosted two editions of the “China-Africa Forum on Green Energy Science and Technology Innovation” (2024 in Jinan, China; 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa), establishing a globally recognized brand for China-Africa green energy cooperation.

It is hereby announced that, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of Shandong Jianzhu University in 2026, the university will convene the “2026 3rd China-Africa Forum on Green Energy Science and Technology Innovation and 1st Annual Conference of the Talented Young Scientist Program”. This platform aims to extend global collaboration networks to Africa, Europe, North America and beyond. By deeply engaging in addressing Africa’s urgent challenges in energy access and green development, the event will attract world-class intellectual resources, young talents, and corporate partners, striving to achieve the goal of “leveraging China-Africa cooperation as a bridge to attract global talent”.

The event will feature keynote speeches by academicians, invited presentations, poster sessions, talent policy briefings, roundtable discussions, partnership forums, and an exhibition of industrial equipment. Registration for the conference is free of charge. We warmly welcome experts and scholars engaged in green energy research, teaching, technology development, production, and management to participate and gather in the spring city of Jinan, China!

    IV. Major Activities

Focusing on green energy, energy storage technologies, and low-carbon buildings, the event integrates four core components: high-level academic forums, thematic parallel seminars, international talent networking, and showcases of scientific and technological innovations. It aims to build a multi-tiered, all-encompassing, and international platform for exchange and cooperation, bringing together top industry expertise, international talent, and collaborative resources to advance technological innovation, talent cultivation, and international cooperation. Planned activities include but are not limited to:

    1. High-Level Academic Forum

    3.International Outstanding Youth Roundtable

This roundtable targets outstanding early-career researchers from around the world. It will provide policy guidance for the development and research innovation of international young talents, feature presentations by representatives of international young scientist programs, and promote paired exchanges between Chinese and foreign young researchers as well as industry-academia-research project matchmaking, thereby contributing to the development of an international youth science and technology innovation talent pipeline.

    V. Special Sponsorship and Exhibition

To comprehensively showcase cutting-edge technological breakthroughs and innovative achievements in the green energy sector, and to foster deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, a dedicated thematic exhibition area will be established at the event. This will serve as a high-level exchange and cooperation platform for participating experts, scholars, corporate representatives, and investors.

The Organizing Committee sincerely invites relevant enterprises, research institutions, industrial parks, industry organizations, and individuals to participate in the conference and to provide sponsorship. Sponsors are welcome to display their technological achievements and explore industry collaboration. Exhibitors may present their technical advantages and market value through physical displays, model demonstrations, video screenings, and other formats.
